Hypokalemia Symptoms – What Are Some Potential Symptoms

Hypokalemia is a condition in which the blood of an individual has abnormally low levels of potassium. It can lead to various symptoms in the patient, although these may vary from one particular case to another. Please consider that having symptoms such as these does not mean that a patient must be in a hypokalemic state, as they can be brought on by different circumstances. Moreover, a lack of these symptoms does not mean that the condition is not present, since there are other possibilities, as well as the potential that the symptoms may simply not be detected or present.

With that in mind, we look quickly at several potential hypokalemia symptoms.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a condition in which the patient’s blood pressure is chronically elevated to an abnormally high level. It can be classified as either primary/essential (no known cause) or secondary (thought to be caused by another condition).
